Step 1: Install TAKO Pump Kits

The first step is to install TAKO Pump Kits on your vacuum pumps.

Each kit is tailored to a specific pump model and includes all the necessary hardware and software.

The kits are designed to be easy to install and require no installation tools or expertise. They are designed to be installed in less than a minute, without any downtime, and can be done by a single person.

Most kits are wired, using Power over Ethernet (PoE), so only a single Ethernet (CAT5e or better) cable is needed for power and data connection to the TAKO Server.

Step 2: Install TAKO Server

The next step is to install the TAKO Server, which is the brain of the system.

All Pump Kits are connected to the TAKO Server via a dedicated network connection, usually a set of PoE switches. The TAKO Server has two network interfaces, one for the Pump Kit network, and a dedicated interface for your internal network.

The TAKO Server is a small, self-contained industrial-grade device that runs the TAKO software and manages the Pump Kits. It is designed to be easy to install and requires no additional tools or expertise.

Once installed, it will be accessible via a web interface from your internal network.

Step 3: Configure TAKO Server

The last step is to configure the TAKO Server to connect to your internal network and activate the Pump Kits.

No specialized software is required, only a computer with a modern web browser (Chrome, Chromium, Firefox, Safari, etc.) and an Ethernet port to connect to the TAKO Server.

A minimal configuration requires only about 10 minutes and a few simple steps:

  • associating your Pump Kit IDs with the pumps and tools they are connected to
  • creating user accounts and setting up their permissions
  • configuring the internal network settings, email notifications
  • optionally, customizing alerting thresholds

Most of the pump-specific configuration is automated and requires no pump-specific knowledge.
